

CONTINUING EDUCATION – Our Continuing Education Initiative provides informational presentations, seminars and summits designed to keep clinicians and other medical professionals up-to-date on various public and community health topics. These may include but are not limited to policy briefs and/or updates; statistical data on current epidemics; and diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management of various disease processes.
PROVIDER CAPACITY WORKGROUP – The Provider Capacity Workgroup includes clinicians from Barton Health, Marshall Medical Center, El Dorado Community Health Center, El Dorado Healthy and Human Services Agency and Shingle Springs Wellness Center. The workgroup meets monthly and provides clinical expertise and perspective to identify gaps in healthcare and support development of a system of care for vulnerable populations.
EDCHC is a primary care center that serves El Dorado County and provides a full range of family practice services. The center's focus is to provide exceptional health care for every age. At El Dorado Community Health Centers, our mission is to improve the health of our community through quality healing and preventive service. We accept most private insurances, Medi-Cal, Medicare, CoveredCA, the under-insured, and those without insurance. The services in our center also include patient advocacy, pharmacy program with patient assistance program for medications, dental, podiatry, behavioral health, and referrals to collaborative organizations within the community. EDCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center 501(c)(3) and served over 12,000 patients in 2019.
