
CONTINUING EDUCATION – Our Continuing Education Initiative provides informational presentations, seminars and summits designed to keep clinicians and other medical professionals up-to-date on various public and community health topics. These may include but are not limited to policy briefs and/or updates; statistical data on current epidemics; and diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management of various disease processes.
PROVIDER CAPACITY WORKGROUP – The Provider Capacity Workgroup includes clinicians from Barton Health, Marshall Medical Center, El Dorado Community Health Center, El Dorado Healthy and Human Services Agency and Shingle Springs Wellness Center. The workgroup meets monthly and provides clinical expertise and perspective to identify gaps in healthcare and support development of a system of care for vulnerable populations.
OPIOID COALITION
The El Dorado County Opioid Coalition is a collaboration of healthcare professionals, community-based organizations, law enforcement, county agencies and concerned citizens determined to turn the tide of our local opioid epidemic.
The coalition meets quarterly to discuss topics such as:

utilizing local data to inform interventions

increasing the availability and access to Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT)

promoting evidenced based practices such as safe prescribing
